This special 40th Anniversary double issue of “Caribou News in Brief” takes us back to 1981 when the need for a co-management board for the Beverly and Qamanirjuaq barren-ground caribou herds was borne, and travels through time to the present day. This issue celebrates the people who have worked together through the years to conserve these two herds for future generations, and who continue to share that common goal today.
